Abstract
The Meta Portal's goal is to aggregate and display arbitrary content from anywhere on the web. A generalized solution to aggregating content from arbitrary websites requires that HTTP methods, cookies, and parameters be included in a request. The browser security model is at odds with any client side software that attempts to discover the request. By using a proxy as a benign man in the middle, the entire HTTP request can be stored and replayed, allowing our server side software to emulate a client side browser. Enhanced security measures must be taken to guard against our benign man in the middle from being used by nefarious users.
