Abstract
Pragmatic analyses of Japanese sentencial particles has been offered in the literature. However, there is few grammatical analysis of them In this. In my talk, I discuss the lexical properties of Japanese sentencial particles in relation to the pragmatic analyses of the particles. I demonstrate the complex lexical requirements of the particles that lead to a variety of use of the particles in conversations.
