Smartphone Sensors and Wavelets
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Data logs from accelerometers in android-based smartphones are a source of noisy, spiky data. This data can be collected while driving on bumpy roads or from other dynamic activities. This talk will discuss analyses of this data using wavelet filters and other mathematical tools that are accessible to undergraduates.
