About This Journal

Dialogues of the Americas publishes the work of students at the undergraduate and graduate level and faculty who have participated in an international simulation of the Organization of American States. The overwhelming majority of students receive academic credit for their participation. Student delegates submit a resolution at the Model that addresses a problem in the Hemisphere as set out in a committee agenda. Students also meet with the embassy staff of the country they represent at the Model. The activities of the Model experience serve as the themes for submissions. Faculty have the opportunity to submit work related to pedagogy related to the Model, as well as joint submissions with students on OAS-related topics. These latter submissions are peer reviewed. This journal is a showcase for the work that students and faculty undertake to learn about the myriad of issues facing the hemisphere, possible solutions, and best practices related to teaching pedagogy.
