Abstract

HERstory takes risks, but doesn't do it for the shock value. By using simple scenes from the lives of women, this set of poetry shows what it's like to be a young woman in the modern world. A moment from a frat house party, a young girl learning about changes in her body, and a relationship between two lovers are just a few of the concepts touched upon in this series. The poems are charged with an energy of what it's like to be female, of what it's like to be a woman.
