Abstract
This lesson plan was developed for the Communications Research class (COM 375). It includes an assignment for students to complete prior to the library instruction session. This includes filling out a survey; watching videos on library research, databases, primary vs secondary sources, and Boolean search tips; and thinking about questions the students may have about library research. For the library instruction session, the lesson plan includes relevant subject guides, a demonstration of the Communications Source database, and a discussion about the students' questions.
