Abstract

Charter school board member John Booy sits down with the GVSU Charter School Office's Don Cooper to talk about his role in serving Excel Charter Academy and Grand River Preparatory Academy. Excel Charter Academy is one of the first charter schools GVSU authorized, opening in 1995. This interview was recorded at the WGVU Studios on May 22, 2019, as part of the National Charter Schools Library oral history project
