Abstract
In this interactive presentation, participants will be invited to think together about the role "disturbance" plays in raising and confronting ethical dilemmas while attempting to change educational practices for the better, whether those practices be at the level of policy creation, administrative decision making, or classroom interaction. Ideas about "disturbance" will be examined from several points of view through engagement in activities that highlight examples of current ethical dilemmas found in educational contexts. Throughout the session, participants will be encouraged to reflect on their own ideas and practices so as to highlight areas of change they can enact in their own setting.
