Abstract
"Basement Story" is a solo performance monologue I wrote that will be performed at The Tens, the culminating performance of the National Ten Minute Playwriting Competition for the Heidemann Award. Six 10 minute plays will given full performances, after weeks of rehearsal, and one will be selected for the National Playwriting Award and chosen to be performed at the Humana Theatre Festival, an established, prestigious national new play festival in March. I would like to attend to be involved in the production and witness the performance. I have already been involved in the rehearsal process remotely (through Skype) and have been revising the script for performance.
