Abstract

Book challenges and bans are more prevalent than ever in the year 2022. The conversations surrounding the challenge of a book are often very stressful for the librarian, teacher, or administrator involved. This project seeks to ease some of that stress by giving the parties involved in conversation a talking frame. These talking frames are based on the norms of civil discourse and make use of sentence stems to guide potentially tense and awkward conversations.
