Abstract
A Spatial DBMS is an object-oriented DBMS that provides primitives for the representation and manipulation of spatial objects. The goal of this project was to study the principles of spatial databases and to gain practical experience through an actual implementation. The major tasks that were accomplished in the project include:
1. A review of principles and standards
2. The implementation of a special application whereby the data represents the layout of a single-board computer based on a 65C02 CPU
3. The development of a GUI suitable for representing special queries and for visualizing the results.
