Abstract
The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) allows participants to reduce tuition by purchasing gift certificates. The school buys the certificates at a discount and credits a portion of that discount to the designated tuition account.
Gift certificates cover a range of products and services (e.g., Wendy's, Burger King, TGI Fridays, Valvoline, Russ', Rogers, Sunset Waste, Office Max, Cinemark, Eddie Bauer, etc.)
Currently, the TRIP program uses a cumbersome paper work-flow. The goal of this project is to provide a web-based solution allowing parents to fill out and submit TRIP order forms on-line.
This goal was accomplished using PHP (a web programming language) to create the desired web pages based on data stored in a MySQL database.
