About This Journal
The Board of Directors of the Communal Studies Association has authorized the biannual publication of Communal Societies: Journal of the Communal Studies Association to provide an outlet for manuscripts representing original research and analysis of historic and current communal groups. The widest range of academic disciplines is represented. Authors are urged to write articles that will effectively transmit information across disciplines.
Communal Societies is published by the Communal Studies association, with publishing support provided by Grand Valley State University Libraries.
The following Author-Title index PDF is one way to see the broad disciplinary scope of Communal Societies. This includes Volume 1 through the current volume, and is compiled by a member of the Communal Studies Association, Lyman Tower Sargent. It can be downloaded to your computer and searched using the “Find” command on your Adobe Reader program.
