Abstract
Due to the ecological importance of both mussel and algal populations, understanding their interactions is critical for further studies in the field. This literature review will explore the functions of both organisms within stream ecosystems, followed by an observational study. The study is designed to evaluate the potential interactions between algal biomass and mussel populations using chlorophyll a concentration as a tool for algal abundance measurement.
