Abstract
Public schools music teachers are often pressed for time and resources. The ScoreShare web application is designed to help music teachers save time and money by facilitating resource sharing among colleagues in the same school district. ScoreShare offers music teachers a way to catalog their printed music libraries while at the same time, making that catalog available and searchable by colleagues within their school district. The inspiration behind ScoreShare was to create a system that would facilitate quick and simple resource sharing among teachers. ScoreShare was built with the Ruby on Rails framework. The database schema supports creating users, school districts, and music items. New users of the system will either join an existing school district or create a new one, in which case they will automatically become the administrator of their district. After registering, a user will be able to add items to their catalog, search and browse for music items, and see a list of other users in their school district.
