Abstract
As part of my Fulbright Grant to Ghana I studied the standards, read the texts, and interviewed teachers about the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. What I found was astounding and nuanced. The standardized test question for Ghana is "Who benefitted more from the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, Europeans or Ghanaians?" Come learn how narrow both sides of the Atlantic are when it comes to teaching about the largest forced migration in history.
