Abstract
During the early stages of the production of his final film, Love Streams, director/actor John Cassavetes cryptically remarked it the dog’s picture. This idea is borne out in the closing scene that signals Cassavetes farewell to the audience. In the scene, we see a man who appears to change into a dog. I want to read that moment in the film as a reflection about the uncertainty and ambivalence of adult sibling relationships in a posthuman family.
