Abstract
You may have heard of Twitter and thought Why do I need another way to tell people wh'm eating for lunch? . But did you know that Twitter can also be a valuable professional development tool? Twitter allows librarians to build and maintain professional networks, and keep up to date with companies, organizations, and government agencies. You can even participate or follow along with events and conferences you are unable to attend. This session will show how to find a community, participate in events and conversations, and leverage Twitter to be a better librarian.
