Abstract
In 2009, Art Prize was held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. It was heralded as a bold new social experiment where the worlds largest prize for art was determined by popular vote. Many thought it would be a failure but the innovative idea attracted artists, site hosts and visitors to the area to view and discuss a wide variety of art.
