Abstract
Research has revealed important information about the effects of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) practices. This project explores the need for professional learning experiences around SEL for the adults teaching and working in Grand Rapids Public Schools. Integrating and implementing SEL practices into Grand Rapids Public Schools will lead to developing foundational supports for SEL and strengthening adult competencies and capacities. In return, climate and culture among all school buildings will improve, create a learning environment to meet the holistic needs of all scholars.
