Abstract
Adverse childhood experiences impact the success of a child in the school setting. While systemic change is often the culprit of childhood trauma, looking more globally at the struggles in the home and the community can elicit change. Many communities have resources available for families that are often not accessible. This project addresses the impact of community trauma, how it relates to children in the school setting, and aims to provide resources for families with a collaborative approach in mind. This project focuses on not only building resilience among a child who have experienced trauma but working to build resilience among the families that live in these communities.
