Abstract
In elementary classrooms, math fact fluency is a crucial component of mathematical competence. Students must memorize these math facts to solve problems efficiently and accurately. This memorization requires practice, repetition, and application of mathematical skills. Students are often required to learn math facts through timed assessments, which aim to measure their fluency and accuracy. Despite the importance of math fact fluency, many elementary school students struggle with memorization, retention, and recall of these facts. The struggle to learn math facts can hinder students' ability to solve mathematical problems efficiently and accurately, leading to poor academic performance. Therefore, it is essential to identify the challenges students face with math fact fluency and implement effective strategies to improve their skills.
