Abstract
As a society, we faced a disruption in normalcy when the COVID-19 pandemic made its entrance in 2020. Grief is a result of the pandemic and there is a need to cope with it to prevent increased likelihood for mental health issues in our youth. Grief can be experienced through not only the loss of a loved one, but through loss of routine, sporting events, extracurricular activities, club, and other social settings. Without proper education and utilization of coping strategies to combat grief, our youth are facing mental health crises head on. This project aims to address the importance of recognizing grief and educate how to cope with the stressful challenges of life and grief.
