Abstract
As a graduate assistant at Grand Valley, there is significant involvement with a program that assists middle and high school students with learning about college. As a preface, the information presented in this document will remain anonymous and confidential for the program's benefit.
Students receive a campus tour, eat at the dining halls, and obtain information about college. Before students arrive, a pre-visit survey is sent to gauge their college knowledge. After the visit, a post-visit survey with the same questions is sent out to determine if they gained more knowledge. This data has rarely been viewed in the past due to the difficulty in aggregating information, therefore, Power BI reports were assembled to make comparisons between both surveys.
As soon as these students attend Grand Valley limited data is retained. Therefore, another Power BI report was assembled to compare where students went to high school, their major, their year at Grand Valley, and what degree they are obtaining. Having this data accessible at all times will enable the program to have more resources available to students in specific majors or interests.
A website was created to highlight the survey data, present a mock page for a summer enrichment program, and a contact page for users to follow up with the program. Additionally, this website was created following strict accessibility guidelines.
