PURPOSE: The project set out to develop a password management solution tailored for users of digital healthcare platforms, addressing the prevalent issue of multiple password management with a focus on security, usability, and regulatory compliance. It aimed at facilitating patient access to health records and enhancing the digital healthcare experience with strengthened security measures. PROCEDURES: Development harnessed C# for its strong security capabilities, integrated SQLite for efficient data management, and implemented AES encryption with SSL/TLS protocols to ensure top-level data security and integrity. OUTCOME: The project resulted in the successful development of a secure and streamlined password management tool, which significantly improved the management of digital healthcare services for patients. It enabled easier access to vital health records and services while maintaining the highest security and privacy standards. IMPACT: By addressing the complexities of password management in the healthcare sector, this project significantly enhanced the online healthcare management experience for patients, focusing on accessibility, security, and the anticipation of compliance with healthcare regulations.
