Abstract
American voice students today are exposed to a variety of teaching methods. Since America is a culmination of many cultures, it does not have a national method of pedagogy, and American students may choose which approach to take based off of preference. My work explores the vocal pedagogy of Italy and Germany, the two central schools of thought that shaped American singing today.
