Abstract
This is the program I created for a short violin recital I held that goes into a little bit of detail behind the stories and composers of the pieces I played. I found them to be really interesting and both are important pieces culturally and in the field of classical music. Growing up, I primarily studied classical music written by European composers and as I’ve gotten older, I've developed an interest in learning more about an ethnic background I was not deeply connected to when I was younger. This project was a way for me to learn about a cool part of Chinese history, while creating something special that I could share with other people.
