The third Interprofessional Education Conference is a 2-day event with a focus on Patient Safety. Thursday afternoon is dedicated to exploring safety cultures, communication behaviors, and interprofessional teams in high reliability systems. On Friday morning, we will hear 3 keynote speakers address the importance of interprofessional teams in providing high quality patient centered care. Later, our community panel will explore the relationship between the delivery of safe patient care, and care quality and efficiency. And, interspersed throughout the day are dynamic, innovative poster and paper presentations that describe approaches for the development of interprofessional teams and integration of safety behaviors into practice. The final session is a viewing of safety behavior video-clips with audience participation.
