Abstract
The present study makes an endeavor to apply the consumption values, erstwhile associated with the acquisition side to the disposition of accommodation sharing services and their impact on the satisfaction of the hosts which would further impact their continued disposition intention. The study employs self-administered questionnaire to collect data from accommodation providers listed on Airbnb, from the state of Punjab, with a total of 229 valid responses. The findings indicate that economic gains, empowerment and cosmopolitan capital contribute significantly to host’s satisfaction, thereby positively affecting their continued disposition intentions. Contrarily, community belongingness and sustainability turned out to be insignificant contributors. These insights have practical implications for accommodation sharing platforms as to how they can contribute in strengthening the supply side of this industry as well as the tourism department of the state of Punjab to give more visibility to shared accommodations on its official tourism website.
