Dr. Anne Piontkowski (Donato) is a Teacher Education Specialist focusing on ELA at the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills, MI. She has spent more than 30 years in K-12 and university education.

Dr. Jonathan Bush is a professor of English education at Western Michigan University.

Mrs. Ruth Bergman is the Director of Education at the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills, MI.

Abstract

This article introduces teachers to best practices in teaching Holocaust literatures and provides a method and framework for teaching with fidelity to humanity and history through a series of considerations, decisions, and directions.
