Abstract
Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming ubiquitous in our daily lives and discussions about the future. This column will explore the evolution of Rangathan’s Five Laws of Library Science to the modern reality of continued technological advancements and adoptions in libraries. The column will then explore how service delivery, informed by Rangathan’s Five Laws of Library Science, contends with technological advances. The column will further explore considerations and implications for artificial intelligence within the realm of service delivery and the understanding of digital literacy. The column will provide an emphasis on artificial intelligence's possible impacts on personalization and automation of services, user education, and the daily work of library professionals. It will also explore the expertise and capacity for library professionals to wrangle with these considerations and implications.
