Abstract
People experience a multitude of personally significant events throughout their day. What if people were able to record these events and had the power to store them in publicly accessible "time capsules", digital posts with physical locations, at the tips of their fingers? This is what the GVSU SocNet group's Time Capsule project explores. Implemented as a mobile application on the Android platform, we are able to create an accessible method to do this. The data collected will be useful towards examining the way people react to, seek out, and create these digital containers of the human experience. Through this, we can gain a deeper, richer understanding of our society.
