Abstract

²-diketone boron difluoride complexes have shown useful applications as fluorescent probes, photosensitizers, and fluorescing nanoparticles. Our lab has taken this concept and applied it to the formation of ²-phosphoryl keto boron difluoride complexes. The synthesis and spectral properties of these complexes will be discussed.
