Abstract

Evaluation of cities using environmental, economic, social aspects. The built environment affects the social environment and vise-versa. Case studies show how the decisions engineers make about building materials affect the structural integrity, appearance (beauty), energy demand, and the overall cost to build and maintain the built environment.
