Abstract
This report uses teacher survey and student assessment data to understand how the allocation of instructional time and use of discipline-specific instructional practices varies across GVSUauthorized elementary schools. Key findings include:
- Two-thirds of instructional time in GVSU-authorized elementary schools is allocated to ELA and Math. • Considerable variation in the allocation of instructional time exists across GVSUauthorized elementary schools.
- Students scored at the 41st percentile on the NWEA MAP reading assessment prior to the study.
