Abstract

Finding a study abroad program that fulfills individual academic and personal aspirations can be challenging. This project came to mind as a way to provide students, particularly those who would like to practice Spanish language skills while studying abroad, with one convenient place where they can be exposed to a number of past student experiences. The website provides a platform where students who lived in Spanish-speaking countries can share their stories. Through sharing this resource with multiple departments and groups on the Grand Valley campus, the goal of this website is to show a wide audience of students the vast amount of study abroad formats, countries and programs available. The current and future executive boards for La Tertulia, the GVSU Spanish Club, have access to editing and adding to the website. The hope is that this website can continue to expand and evolve as more students add their study abroad stories in years to come.
