Kathryn M. Brimmer is a Ph.D. candidate in the Reading and Language
Arts Program at Oakland University, where she teaches undergraduate courses
in reading, language arts, and reading assessment. Prior to becoming a graduate
assistant, Kathy taught in the classroom for 8 years and served as a reading
specialist for 18 years. She is a member of the International Reading Association
and the Michigan Reading Association and for mer editorial assistant for the
Michigan Reading Journal.
