Mary K. Lose is an assistant professor of education in the Reading and Language Arts
Department and director and trainer of the Reading Recovery Center at Oakland University
in Rochester, Michigan. The recipient of a Literacy Trust Fellowship, she spent the summer
of 2002 in New Zealand as a fellow of the New Zealand National Reading Recovery and the
Auckland College of Education. Mary is a member of the International Reading Association
and the Michigan Reading Association where she serves on the Editorial Review Board.
