Sara Pickett is currently taking time off to raise her 4-yearold-
daughter and to earn a reading endorsement for her
teaching certificate. Most recently, she taught.first grade for 4
years at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe. She has
taught for 11 years in kindergarten through second grade in
both public and private schools. She earned a B.S. in early
childhood education from Towson University and a M.Ed.
from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD. Her professional
interests include early literacy instruction, mathematics, and
computer literacy.
