Esther M. Coleman is associate professor at Marygrove
College, Chair of the Education Department, and
Coordinator of the Graduate Reading Program. She
received a PhD in Reading & Language Arts from Oakland
University. Previously, she was a middle school teacher in
Highland Park Public Schools for 14 years.
