Tanya Christ is an assistant professor of reading
and language arts at Oakland University, Rochester,
Ml. Dr. Christ teaches courses on the diagnosis
and correction of reading difficulties. She teaches
a service-learning course at the Baldwin Center
in Pontiac, Ml, which provides an opportunity for
pre-service teachers to learn hands-on through
interactions with the children who attend the center's
after-school program.
Ron Cramer is Distinguished Professor of Education
at Oakland University in the Department of Reading
and Language Arts where he directs the reading
and writing clinics and teaches courses in reading,
writing, and language arts. Dr. Cramer is the
recipient of the State of Michigan Governor's Award
for Outstanding Teaching and Oakland University's
Teaching Excellence Award
