Dee Halstead is a Priority Schools Coordinator at Everett High School in the Lansing School District. Before
accepting the position as a Priority Schools Coordinator she worked in the classroom teaching English, worked
with at-risk students at an alternative education school and was also a RT/ coach for two years-all within the
Lansing School District. She has also been a member of MRA since she was a student teacher at Central Michigan
University, and she firmly believes in the mission of the Michigan Reading Association.
