Kristen L. White is a doctoral candidate at Michigan
State University pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum,
Instruction, and Teacher Education with a
Specialization in Language and Literacy. A longtime
Michigan educator, her research interests are at the
intersection of early childhood literacy and the construction
of children’s literate identities.
