Dr. Sandra M. Gonzales is an Associate Professor
of Bilingual/Bicultural Education in the Division of
Teacher Education at Wayne State University. She can

Jonelle N. López’ journey through post-secondary
education started at the community college level in her
home-town of San Diego, California. She obtained her
undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University
and she is currently a student at Wayne State
University working on her M.Ed. in Reading. She can

Laura Torres is currently working on her Bachelor’s
degree and works for a college access program for high
school students. She enjoys her job and is grateful for
the experience as well as the opportunity to be able to
make a difference in students’ lives. She can be reached

Ana Calandrino is a Wayne State University alum with
a Master’s in Social Work. She is a firm believer that
everything happens for a reason, whether it's good or
bad. She is excited to use her social work background to
help students seek a higher education. She is grateful to
be given the opportunity to serve the community. She
