Dr. Rebecca R. Norman, a Michigan State University
graduate, is an Associate Professor of Education
and member of the Collaborative for Equity in Literacy
Learning (CELL) at Mount Saint Mary College.
Her areas of teaching and research include increasing
interest in reading, informational text comprehension,
graphical literacy development, writing instruction, and
out of school literacy practices. She can be reached at
