Volume 8, Issue 1 (2018)
This issue of Cinesthesia discusses how fiction and non-fiction films can demonstrate to their audiences the experiences of peoples who often do not have a platform for their voices to be heard. This issue's authors explore how the formal elements of filmmaking can enhance the messages of their filmmakers, specifically those who are queer and/or people of color. The films analyzed include Ava DuVernay's 13th, Jamie Babbit's But I'm a Cheerleader, and Barry Jenkins' Moonlight.
Once again returning with ths issue's cover art is Kayleigh Van Overen. Click here for her portfolio.
