Candice Moench is an Associate Professor in the
Education Department at Dickinson State University in
Bismarck, North Dakota where she has been a faculty
member since 2014. She teaches literacy courses and
Educational Psychology for elementary and secondary
students. Candice completed her Ed.D. at Wayne State
University in Detroit, Michigan. Her academic interests
include literacy, multiliteracies, gender identity, and
teacher education. Personal interests include anything
with sun, water, trees, and mountains. She can be
